I worked off of a photo that a friend of mine took of his alma mater, Mercyhurst, while they were in Orlando this year training for their winter break. I loved the epic, yet somewhat muted, feel of the sky and lake in the photo. I thought the mood was in perfect harmony with the shared exhaustion between these two lightweight pairs as they rested before another piece against each other. It had to be painted.
